Plant Quality Walkthrough
An on-site review of inspection stations, scrap logs, and shift-level quality signals with your plant supervisors.
Who it is for
Plant supervisors, quality managers, and production leads responsible for first-pass yield and scrap control.
What you leave with
A clear picture of where quality signals break down on the floor, which charts supervisors actually use during a shift, and a shortlist of measurement changes worth making first.
Included
- Pre-visit review of recent scrap, rework, and hold-lot records
- Floor walks with shift supervisors across agreed lines
- Side-by-side reading of inspection sheets and SPC charts already in use
- Written findings with prioritized next steps for the plant team
- One follow-up call within two weeks of the visit
Not included
- Software licensing or system installation
- Full quality management system certification audits
- Permanent staffing of quality roles
How we work
- Share recent quality records and a line map before the visit
- Agree which shifts and stations will be walked
- Conduct the on-site walkthrough and supervisor interviews
- Deliver findings and a practical action list
Preparation
Assign a plant contact, grant escorted access to agreed areas, and prepare the last 8–12 weeks of scrap, rework, and inspection summaries.
Constraints
Work is limited to agreed production areas. Confidential customer parts may be reviewed in anonymized form only.
